Why I Named My Girl Khadija?
When I saw the name khadija, it instantly clicked. The meaning — the name of holy prophet (pbuh)'s first wife khadijah-tul-kubra (ra) — spoke to me. Coming from our muslim background, and with roots in arabic, it felt connected to who we are.
We weren’t drawn to a trendy name — we wanted something rich in meaning. khadija became the obvious choice. Every time I say it, I’m reminded of the hope behind it. That’s why I named my girl khadija.
